In addition to his art-related pursuits in comics, Nathan has always worked as a writer and editor, primarily in the comics field. Notable is his work on Caliber's "The Raven Chronicles" with the brilliant artist R.G. Taylor (DC's Sandman Mystery Theater, Wordsmith, etc.) and his editing work on Image Comics' "Heaven's War" (written by Micah Harris with art by Michael Gaydos). He has a long association (since issue #1, in fact) with the renowned Desperado anthology series "Negative Burn". He has co-written the series "Departure" (from Desperado Press) and an upcoming series with author Mitch Brown, all drawn by artist Kevin Stokes (Revolver Studios). His first writing, packaging, and editing in comics was on the Tome Press title "Poets Prosper" in 1992, adapting the poems of Victorian poets (for which he also painted the cover).
